New for 2018!
5” FFAR
The first FFAR (forward firing aircraft rocket) were developed by the U. S. Navy and introduced in June 1943. A 5-inch anti-aircraft shell was attached to the 3.5-inch rocket motor, attaining speed to 485 mph creating the 5-Inch FFAR.
My 5” FFAR replicas are constructed of 16 gage mild steel tubing and spot-welded fins. The shell is 16 gage mild steel, metal-spun to give it the solid ‘machined’ look, with a shell reducer to attach to the 3.5” motor tube. An aluminum nozzle and cloth covered ignition wires for your canon plug finishes the tail. The replica MK149 impact nose fuse, end cap clamps, pins and arming wire finish the rocket. With OD green 5 inch shell, stenciling and a set of suspension clamps, these replicas are as close as you can get to the real thing.
